Veneto Chess Set

The Veneto chessman reflect the influence and span of timeless design from monochromatic Venetian gondola poles to modern industrial design influences, such as the refined lines of F. A. Porsche. Machined from solid aluminium this set is engineered tough, but filled with character.
Finished with an anodizing process and individually assembled by hand, to exact tolerances, each opponent carries at its core, the heart of the other. The "white" metal-tone side wraps around a solid black core, while the black side reflects a glow from within its alminium core. Viewed as a complete array, the pieces project the strength of the whole and the philosophical symmetry of opposition. As the game progresses, the pieces create a pattern of light and form, gradually focusing on the crosses of the kings.
Produced in an individually signed and numbered limited edition of 500, the set includes four Queens. King 2" (±5 cm.) in height.
