Welta WELTUR

Solid and beautiful camera....

One of the better-built german folding cameras. It is easy to use, very quick to focus, with a coupled rangefinder. On this camera, focus is achieved by moving the knob in front which in turn moves the lens assembly, the lens doesn't rotate but rather moves forward or backward. Very precise system. The Weltur feels solid and is extremely well-made. Shutter is a Compur Rapid and the lens is a Zeiss 2,8/80mm Tessar, non-coated. Weltas often have an aperture table on their cameras. One nice feature, strangely enough, is the leather strap, most folders have a shabby strap, but this one is very nice and make the camera a pleasure to hold.

I love cameras from this manufacturer, they are a pleasure to handle and they age well, like me...
